These photographs of Ben and Cath were found in my mother’s
photos, which I have. Mother must have taken them. One is labeled ‘Grandpa and his cat’’ and the other is
labeled ‘Grandma’. You can see from the condition of the back porch that Ben
can’t do much work. He is partially disabled due to the ball still in his thigh
that he got while serving in the Virginia Cavalry during the war.
