Letter from Irma
Irma wrote this letter to my mother on Sunday, Dec 28, 1969.
When my mother decided to collect family information she wrote to cousins and
aunts living in Halifax and Pittsylvania counties. Irma and Aubrey lived in
Danville. Aubrey had a brother that lived in Lynchburg. This letter tells of
Irma and Aubrey’s trip to Lynchburg to eat Christmas lunch with his brother. A
snowstorm almost trapped them. And Irma tells how they spent Christmas Eve and
lists all the presents they got from friends and each other. And Irma provides
a little family information.
When Rubye Lane died it was Aubrey Hall that took Lottie and
