Daniel Steppe Family

Uncle Daniel (pronounced Dan’l) had no children. He was in the “service” all his life. Before WW II he and brother Lewis had been army men serving in Panama. When WW II broke out he joined the Navy and was on Shore Patrol in Norfolk for most of the war. After the war he became a Norfolk policeman and served there until he retired. When his nephews were in the Navy stationed in Norfolk (Clay, Bailey, and Danny) they took us into their home and showed us a good time.

In Summer 1960 my parents visited Dan and Louise in Norfolk. Dan and Louise in the surf at Virginia Beach and my parents, Lewis and Shirley, on the beach.
