Cousin Clay Davis

Clay lived close to me in the early years. And we saw each other as navy veterans looking for wives. Now we see each other at the Elk’s Lodge for the New Year’s Dance. And we have lately been looking for family graveyards.

Cousin Nealy Clay Davis was the only child of Ruth and Roscoe Davis. Here he is with his wife Mildred.

A granddaughter.

Mildred is standing on the old covered bridge near Marysville in Campbell county. This bridge was swept away by the floods of 1996. The bridge was on the way to a Davis family graveyard where we found Clay’s grandfather.
