This is a picture of the congregation of the old Mount Zion church. It was taken 1897. Notice the horse buggies in the background. About everyone now living in the area is descended from these people. Notice the group of barefoot boys in front, some holding their Sunday hats. My grandmother Kate Bailey is the first girl from the left side in the second row.
