Mable Green Clay

Mable was a second cousin of my mother, both had Ryland Logan Hunt as a Great Grandfather. Mable married Maynard Clay and her daughter, Barbara Clay, my third cousin, still lives in the Mt Zion community.

Mable and her neighbor Josephine Franklin sang at my father's funeral. One song was "The Old Rugged Cross", a favorite of my dad. Mable's obituary (she died last year 2001) mentions that she had a fine voice and sang for many years in the community.
