The home as it appeared about 1910, from the front. The two ancient trees in front still stand. The fieldstone chimneys still stand. Note how the tops stand away from the house. On the front are two rooms for the servants.

The front rooms were removed and replaced with a porch, the upstairs rooms enlarged, and the back porch where grandpa loved to sit has been enclosed. In the picture are Jean Waller, Juanita Barbour, Moncy Barbour, Margaret Steppe, and Beatrice Jordan.

Aunt Ora’s little cottage, which stood nearby, has been shoved aside and the front porch destroyed. In the picture are Jean Waller, Juanita and Moncy Barbour.
